Articles and Essays

The Journal welcomes submissions of articles, essays, and comments focusing on the legal, policy, and ethical issues relating to equine, agriculture, and natural resource law and policy. All manuscripts should be typewritten, and citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. A resume, curriculum vitae, or brief biographical statement should accompany submissions. 

The editorial board independently evaluates all submissions and selects those most appropriate for publication. Consideration is given to substantive merit, professional interest, timeliness, clarity, and style. The Journal reserves the right to condition publication on satisfactory revision of the work. 

We encourage article submissions of fewer than 25,000 words, including the footnotes (approximately fifty journal pages). We encourage essay submissions of fewer than 17,500 words, including the footnotes (approximately thirty-five journal pages). We encourage comment submissions of fewer than 6,000 words, including the footnotes (approximately twelve journal pages).

BLOG SUBMISSIONS

KJEANRL now welcomes original scholarship on issues concerning equine, agriculture, and natural resource law, and responses to articles, notes, and comments published in our current issue. These submissions should be between 1000 and 1500 words and will be published online. Citations, if used, should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. A resume, curriculum vitae, or brief biographical statement should accompany submissions. 

Consideration is given to substantive merit, professional interest, timeliness, clarity, and style. The Journal reserves the right to condition publication on satisfactory revision of the work. 

To submit your work please e-mail the KJEANRL Blog (blog.kjeanrl@gmail.com). All submissions will independently be reviewed by the editorial board and we hope to respond to you within three weeks. All submissions accepted for publication will be posted within three months of acceptance barring any unforeseen issues.
